Project-Based Science
A “hands-on” approach to science that delves into all branches of science. This class will focus on 21st Century skills, content knowledge and expertise. It will build understanding across and among core subjects as well as 21st century interdisciplinary themes. Emphasis will be made on deep understanding, rather than shallow knowledge. Projects may include, but are not limited to bridge building, mousetrap cars, alternative energy sources, nutrition, and biotechnology.

Roller Coaster Collaboration--Culminating Project
Project-Based Science Class worked collaboratively with an Advanced Functions and Modeling(math) Class on a Roller Coaster Design Project. Students studied Roller Coaster design, where they learned the Science and Math behind what makes a Roller Coaster work. They then designed and built their own Roller coasters.

Pedestrian Bridge Project
Students have been working on a bridge design project for the past several days. We will culminate with a large build design next week, but for now, you will have to settle for a smaller Pedestrian Bridge!!
